Hello,

I have an Ibook G4 (2004 model) and I was wondering if it is possible to boot into a stripped down bootable version of osx from a usb memory stick. How would I have to format it etc... Could this be done off a cd/dvd aswell?

Thank You

CD/DVD is out because of the number of files that need to be written in order to load the Finder, besides other applications. Flash drive is an option, but only with Intel-based Macs, so not a choice for you. Your next best choice is an external FireWire hard disk.
