Our office has several Macs. Some have Safari 3.0 and some are on 3.1.

We are seeing odd things and I was wondering if there are known issues with Safari 3.1.

For example: On one Mac running Safari 3.1 the user can not access a web site. However FireFox running on the same computer can access the site just fine.

We came across this issue because different users thought we had a network issue and it seems to be related to the version of Safari.

Unfortunately I can't see the fixes on this page but macfixit definitely recognizes Safari 3.1 has issues:

Safari 3.1.1 had a lot of security updates. Are the sites being blocked entirely or just flash content?

I assume you're in Leopard. Are you up to 10.5.3?

That last article I found mentions DNS services can get turned off by the Safari update; use the terminal command to restart the service.
