Hi,

I can't access weblinks that play video (CNN) or sound (BBC Radio). I have downloaded the Real Player and Windows Media Player plugins without any success. Any suggestions?

I am using Safari 2.0.3 on MacBookPro OSX 10.4.5

The issue is that the Safari is a universal binary (so running on a MacBook Pro as native Intel code) but the plugins are not - they are PPC code, and so need to be run in the Rosetta emulation.

However, there is a simple work around.

Find Safari in your Applications folder, and get info (I). Then select the checkbox for "Open using Rosetta". Now when you run Safari, you will get a performance hit which you might or might not notice, but you will be able to use your legacy plugins.

Cheers,

Joel
