When I try to watch Yahoo news videos, it takes me to the page and as soon as I move my mouse to click on the video, Safari screen vanishes. Can you please help with a fix?
Yahoo! shows video using the Windows Media format. There are a couple of choices for you. You can download Windows Media Player and run Safari in Rosetta (Get Info on Safari in the Finder to set this option) in order for the WMP plugin to work on your Intel-based Mac.
Alternatively, you can figure out the actual address of a video stream you want to watch. The easiest way to do this in Safari is to view the source code of the Web page containing the video. You'd then copy the address and open it in the WMP application.
In retrospect, none of these options are particularly easy and Intel-based Mac owners like you are waiting for Flip4Mac to release a Universal Binary version of its WMV Components of QuickTime.
