Safari forgets all Names & Passwords every time I quit prog. I have option checked in prefs. Up to date OSX and App. Cannot find answers in "Help" Just started happening a few months ago.

Click on the Safari menu and see if "Private Browsing" is checked. This is what you see when you click it the first time:
Are you sure you want to turn on private browsing?
When private browsing is turned on, webpages are not added to the history, items are automatically removed from the Downloads window, information isn't saved for AutoFill (including names and passwords), and searches are not added to the pop-up menu in the Google search box. Until you close the window, you can still click the Back and Forward buttons to return to webpages you have opened.
It's a new feature in Tiger... Useful when using someone else's Mac to access private info like your bank, etc.

Good suggestion, but private browsing is not checked, Safari remembers my history.
Thanks,
Jimmy

Key Chin first aid reported no errors (repaired anyway). Have run Disk Warrior, & Cocktail, as well as repaired permissions. No resolution to Safari (Vs. 2.0.4)problem.
