I turned on the scripts menu in the drop down menu (appears to the left of the bluetooth icon). Only now I can't get it to disappear - so how do I get this drop down to disappear?
(I am an experienced windows & unix user and programmer and have been using a mac for a couple of years)
Thanks,
Kev

Hi Kev,
First thing to try is to open your applications folder, than the AppleScript folder. Within that folder, double click the AppleScript Utility to open that. The utility will show a window that has an option to "show Script Menu in menu bar" - simply uncheck that option.
Let me know if that does it for you.
Be well.

OK.. gave that a go ... no option to do that. But a-ha in the folder there was a folder icon called menuscript.menu and it wouldn't open when I double clicked on it.
So I stuck it in the trash - rebooted my powerbook and the script menu was gone!
Thanks you inspired the solution weldone :-)

GREAT! Am very glad you got that figured out. A little corruption goes a long way :-)
