Hello MacOSX support member,
Just wondering whether or not it is possible to install my Leopard version on another computer. Or do I run into legal problems doing that? I noticed installing it on my computer that there is no serial number or activation to go through like with Windows OS.
Thanks
Jan

The software license with Leopard allows installing and using OS X on one Mac only. You can read that for yourself.
And, the OS X family pack provides license to install on up to 5 Macs.
No Activation/registration needed - so, there is nothing preventing you from installing on 200 Macs, except your own conscience.

Hi Dale,
Extremely interesting answer. Eyebrow raising actually... WOW! Compare this to Microsoft's efforts... But the OS ties in with the purchase of the hardware with an Apple system. And regarding your conscience remark plus total honesty in the answer.... AND the relative very low price for this amazing OS plus it being worth the money....: soooooo even though the door appears to be wide open, thanks to your answer, I will get my girlfriend a legal copy.
Thanks
