I have setup a PMG3 server plus PMG5 and 2 powerbooks

When using any application and want to open or save a file the default folder is the one in the computer Im using.

How can be the default folder the one on the server?

Hi and welcome to macosx.com

The only solution I have in mind is using the shareware DefaultFolder
http://www.stclairsoft.com/DefaultFolderX/features.html
through which, for any applications to use -or globally- you can set up a Default Save Folder. (this not the sole function of this tool)

But I must I do not know if it works through distant folder.

If this does not completly answer the question, do not hesitate to post back: I'll repoll the question.

Regards
Philippe

I remember I could do it in previous version of Mac OS X maybe 10.3

When I was opening a file from Illustrator, the windows Open was already set on the last used and there was a menu with the previous used folders(see attach)
