TICKET ARCHIVE -> Sherlock 3.6 Channels

Since installing Tiger two months ago, I've been unable to get the Pictures or PhoneBook channels in Sherlock to load. Both always report temporarily unavailable. All the other preset toolbar channels open and work. Anyway to ascertain if these are premanently disabled and, if not, how to regain access to them?

The use of sherlock is mostly replaced by Dashboard. There's the Phone Book widget, and probably something to replace Pictures, although Apple's site might have something in more than 800 widgets to download.

Thanks. I know and use Dashboard, but that wasn't the question.

These Sherlock channels may work on systems older than Tiger, but I've never checked. They also do not work with my Tiger system.

I can understand about the Pictures, but how is the Phonebook channel different from the Dashboard widget?

I don't know since it isn't available. That's the only way I know how to check. Thanks for the information.
