I clicked on sherlock every icon, for the default channels seamed to appear. as I clicked on a few to get the fell of things, I watched my channels on the top bar start to disappear and some changed to Japanese, or Chinese. I then looked for help and found a sight where allot of people had similar problems. and some reported the fix to be double click mac hard drive on desktop, so I did the in icon view click on system then go to cache then sherlock. at this point I was confused the said delete everything. But instead I just deleted files created that day. then I rebooted and to my surprise some icons came back , only four though
A. Internet in Chinese
B. Dictionary appears OK
C. Translator appears OK
D. Apple care appears OK ( but I didn't pay for apple care do i get some scaled down version or what?
Many people seam to have problems with sherlock, Can someone help me understand this phenomena, I want the rest of my application airfare, and all the rest I cant remember.

one more thing: What is the default sherlock supposed to include?

first time trying to ask questions from strangers, I feel a little intimidated,.... JB

Joe,

Try this.

Go to youruserfolder/Library/Caches/Sherlock/Web Foundations and toss the contents of the Web Foundations folder. Now click on that folder, press Command-I to bring up the Info window, and enable the Locked option.

Always run Permissions Repair before and
