Description:
Just installed 8.5 and am trying to take advantage of Sherlock but just doesn't seem to work. When I try to use search the internet I get an alert saying "A network error occured, check your network settings then try again."
Where do I check these settings? Would these setting be different than the setting normally used to get on the internet with Communicator 4.0.5? I can connect to the internet just fine otherwise but when I try to use the Search the Internet feature in the find menu I get the alert. Where do plug-in's you can download for sherlock go? Could this be related to the problem? Thanks in advance, Pat

Hi welcome to Nowonder

When you open Sherlock there is a little box with a ? mark in it. Open this it is the help files it will also take you back to the internet configuration panel check there for the settings to make sure they are correct. To load the plugins just drop in system folder it will ask if you want them in sherlock (something like that). Once you have them listed in sherlock you need to place a check mark in front of them. Also if you have more then one plugin you will need to allocate more ram to run it. At least double the prefered size. best regards sharona@nowonder
