Hi there,
I am using a G4 PowerBook and running OSX Tiger.
I have the problem that sometimes, when I am shutting down the computer, my logout times out because of something called 'MirrorAgent', which I have to Force Quit in order to continue with the shut down. What is that? It never used to happen before. How do I fix it, if its even possible?
Also, sometimes during shutdown, I have the problem that the mac 'Mail' application doesnt let me shut down easily, and I have to try and shut down the computer in time before the mail application opens up again and cancels the shutdown... how do i fix that?
Thanks...
Asaf

Hi Asaf,
Did you try repairing your permissions yet?
http://www.gballard.net/macrant/osx_...eshooting.html - scroll halfway down the page, 'Run Disk Utility's Repair Permissions:'

Hi there.
Well, I repaired my permissions and everything seems to be functioning normally again. But Im still curious... what is "MirrorAgent"?

I'm sorry, I have no idea. I think it's something you installed by installing some kind of software, because on my OS X 10.4, it's not to be found.

well, its a .log file
I think it has something to do with the iSync or the iDisk.
Could this be?
Do you know who I could ask about this so I could be sure?
thanks for your help

I'm sorry, I don't. I'll close this thread, since your Mail is working again. You can ask a new question if you want, maybe another volunteer knows this.
