Knowledge Level: Beginner

Problem: Combination
Computer Type: clarisworks or apple
Model: performa 6360
RAM: 32meg
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: System 7.5.3

Description:
In fixing a crashing and freezing problem, I had a new Hard drive installed along with a new driver (1.3.1). This seems to have corrected that problem, but now I can not launch a picture into simple text from my scanner. The first two times I tried, the message said the computer could not complete the OCR conversion. After that I got no message, simply a cancelled launch. I then tried to drag and drop a picture file from the document file onto simple text in the Launcher. This worked, but the sound ,font, and size menu options were all grayed out. When I tried to type something, I got a message saying the document could not be modified, only copied or printed. With the old driver I was able to both launch a picture from my scanner and open a picture document into Simpletext and add sound to the document.Your thouhts.

That's weird... but there is a shareware solution to use images easily.

GraphicConverter

Try it as a trial version, then try to open your files. If that can't open them, your files are corrupt. If they open, maybe SimpleText is damaged.
