Mirela,

When Safari or any other browser loads pages, it saves a file in the cache folder. This cache is meant for quick loads when you go back to that site. The trouble is when that cache folder gets too many files and it takes forever, it seems, to find and check the cache file and the actually internet page for changes.

The fix is easy and you have two choices of how you can clear the cache folder.

With Safari open, go to the Safari Menu and select Empty Cache.
Or...
Go to Home>Library>Cache>Safari and trash all the folders. Empty the trash.

Now Safari should be quicker to load.
