Description:
I just purchased a new Apple G-3 266 W/ built in modem. I'm not at all happy with the FAXstf software provided by Apple. I would like to purchase software from Global Village. My question is whether it will work with the modem in my G-3? I have GV software for their Platinum modem, but doubt that it will work. Thanks for assist.

Hello Patrick,

Do you have a Global Village external modem such as the 33.6 or 56K Flex or V90?
If you do, most certainly use it with your new Mac and could simply install the software which came with it. The Global Village software is good, I use it myself for outgoing messages only since I have a regular fax machine in addition and don't care to leave my Mac running around the clock in order to "receive" messages.

If your Global Village modem is an internal modem I am not as certain whether it fits in the G3 or not. You might have to contact Global Village to be absolutely sure.

You may find setting it up a little bit tricky since the documentation is not too easy to read (nothing new in this business).
