Is it possible to get Spotlight to search inside Indesign files the same way it can search inside MS Word/Excel etc?
Or is this something we are going to have to wait for Adobe to enable?

Hi Steve,
Spotlight needs a plug-in for each file type it scans, so you would have to ask Adobe to write a plug-in. If more people ask for it, they will act more promptly.
A workaround at the moment is to put a PDF file in the same directory as your Indesign file, so at least you can find where it is, if not directly.
Let me know if this helps you.

Thanks Charlie - this does help.
I usually create PDFs for approval by my clients anyway, so that will work fine for now.
Although I do find it odd that Adobe would surely have been in the loop early on with Apple but have not managed to release the plug in.
I guess it is time to start bugging Adobe about this!
