1. I have a PowerBook rev c (1.33 Ghz). I went to buy blank DVDs and all I could find was some Samsung 8x DVD. Is it safe to use them on my PB? I have a MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-825, and I think it has 4x burning speed. Would this DVDs damage my hardware? do I have to upgrade the sorfware (I'm using Toast 6 Titanium)

2. What is exactly the advantage offered by Mac the ripper?

Hi Paulo

Those disks won't damage you rmachine, but you're better off using the same speed disks that your burner works at.
And you want DVD- not DVD+.

Toast 6 will work fine.

MacTheRipper is for ripping DVD's. Taking a DVD containing a movie, so you can then bur it to another DVD using Toast or Roxio's Popcorn.
