I am wondering if I could upgrade to MacOs 8.x or should I go to 7.6.1? I have the 68040 processor and 36 MB built-in RAM and 66 MHz speed.Also I have Netscape 3.04. Should I upgrade to Communicaator? Thank you. Ed Lewis

Yes, I think that you should upgrade both to the latest versions. If you had less RAM memory I would have suggested to stay with 7.6 and 3.x but since you have what you have I think that you should go ahead, upgrade to 8.1 and Netscape Navigator standalone 4.05 (if you don't use it for email, if you do I suggest you switch to Eudora or Emailer which both have free "lite" versions of their software). I myself have 040 Macs running at that configuration and I think it works fine. MacOS 8 (or 8.1 really) is nothing I would like to be without.
