I received one response to my question In that response Dale asked me a question. I responded to Dale by clicking on the respond link and now the question is closed. What's up with that?

I'll see if the Moderator notices. In the meantime, can you respond again and reopen the question. Or, can you link me to it so I can reopen it?

Ben, Here's the ticket number 336441. I'm not sure how to link the question or how to reopen it, so, I'll try to restate it as simply as possible. I have an iMac on which I sometimes use XP Home. Just recently I have not been able to get updates for windows. The update page says that I'm not using windows os and refers me to Mactopia. Just last week I was able to access the updates. Help!
Thanks,
JoAnn

I don't have access to closed tickets. I think they stay in the possession of the techs who closed them. Do you still have an email from macosx.com when Dale was helping you? When you click to send a response to that message, you can copy the address in your browser into your response to this one. There's no way for me to find the original ticket otherwise.

Hi Ben, I trashed the e-mail, sorry, but this is his username

eltaMac. In any case the question is simple. When using windows XP I can no longer access the updates. I was able to last week, now almost two weeks ago. Windows is running fine except for that problem.
Thanks,
JoAnn

Sorry, I forgot to say that every is running smoothly, except the windows update. I can run all programs, access the internet, print documents, etc. The only thing I can no longer do is get updates. I'm automatically sent to a page that basically says that this page is for windows os only and there is a link that I click on and it sends to the Mactopia page. This happened a week or two ago when I got updated for both windows and mac.

is this a pre os 10.5 release of boot camp or after 10.5 if it is a pre os 10.5 then your system can no loger support windows on that version of boot camp as apple has discontued the what they beta testing and that could cause the issue.
ascjac - Mar 5, 2008 - 7:55 pm
It's pre 10.5. It was working 1.5 weeks ago and 10.5 has been out for a while. Why wouldn't it do this sooner? Anyway, if nothing can be done, I'll just keep on going until I upgrade to 10.5.
Thank you for your time.
