I need to run Pro Tools 7.3 on my Mac Pro, which means I need OSX 10.4.9 or lower. Digi talks about a binding script you can download, but Tools still crashes. The machine shipped with 10.4.10.
If I buy OSX 10.4.7 install discs that came with a iMac Intel or any models other than an mac pro?
Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can obtain the OSX 10.4.7 that used to ship with the Mac Pros?
Thanks,
Matt
Actually you don't buy 10.4.7 install discs, you reinstall 10.4 (Tiger) and then upgrade.
So all you have to do is reinstall your OS X (This erases your files on your hard drive so make sure you save these and your apps somewhere else unless you want to reinstall everything) and then just upgrade to 10.4.7. Use the updater below.
You could also use Software update, but be careful not to download updates past 10.4.7.
Here's the 10.4.7 updater:

Some even divide their hard drives into partitions and install the latest system on one, and an earlier system on another. I've done this before as a back up solution; the drawback being less actual hard drive space.
