Problem: Software
Computer Type: Power Computing
Model: PowerCenter 120
RAM: Not related
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: Not related

Description:
I copied a month worth of email messages (about 150 messages I recall) from eudora to be attached to an email I was planning to send to the computer at my wife's work. When I tried to open it on my Mac before sending it to her I got the message "this document is too large to be opened by simple text" I believe it was about 350 k. What does this mean? Is there an alternative software package?

My OS is 8.0.1

Thanks for your help.

Hello Carel and Welcome to No Wonder!

SimpleText can only open small files, so you'll want to download something like BBEdit Lite or TexEdit. BBEdit is my first choice, and can be downloaded directly from BareBones' ftp site: ftp://ftp.barebones.com/pub/freeware...t_Lite_4.1.sit

Best Wishes,

Kristina
