Description:
I would like to have my server do an unattended backup to my tape draive in the early morning hours. Specifically, I'd like to script a program startup at 1:01 am with it closing the program at 1:59 am. Is this possible using apple script?

I don't think you can get apple script to write to a tape drive. Your best bet for this is a program called retrospect. It will alow you to do everything you just asked for plus more. Check it out.
