hi,

i'm having a really hard time with trying to re-install a version of photoshop on computer.

I had a version of it, then it disappeared from my computer one day when i was asked for a pin for adobe acrobat professional, which i didn't have, and then it took away the photoshop icon in my application folder. what the heck??

so i've been trying to reinstall another photoshop, and it doesn't show up as an application after the install, it shows up as a document... what is going on - do you know?

do i have to uninstall other photoshops on the computer? i thought i erased them all, but are they stored somewhere else?

any ideas?

Jen,

There is a couple of options for you, first of which is doing a omplete scan of you main drive using the term "Adobe" rather than "photoshop". This will show more files along with the files that are named slightly different or don't have the whole "photoshop" word in it. When your system respons with a bunch of files, follow the paths that they are located and you should be able to locate groups of files that you will need to delete to remove the software.

Judging by the way that Acrobat asked you for a seperate SN, I am guessing you are talking about CS2, in which case if you have installed all components and not done a custom, you may also need to try to find the version cue files that are store on your drive to.

If this does not work then there is also a list of files in which to delete that Adobe distributed from their website that can show you how to do a manual uninstall.

Good Luck.
