I want to upgrade my PowerPC G4 that is currrently running OSX 10.2.8
I am waiting to recieve my OS upgrade to Tiger that I recently ordered, but I also want iLife and iSight.
My questions are:
Which versions of these can I run on my computer (can I run iLife06?)
And do I need to add more RAM? (Memory 1024 Processor 800MHz)
And how do I do that, what would I need?
Thanks

Hi Terri

Yes, you can run iLife 6 with no problems on your machine.

More ram is always good for a system running OS X, but yours is adequate.

If possible, I would put more ram in myself.

Go to this page for instructions on adding ram, just select the machine you have on the Drop Down Menu;

Before upgrading to Tiger, run Repair Permissions using Disk Utility in your Utility folder.

Then boot off the OS disc by holding the C key down. Under the Installer Menu (10.2.8) open Disk Utility and Repair Disk.
