Lisa,

The official advice from Apple is that all computers with ppc processors can run OS8.5.
However, there is some thought that it will not run very fast on machines with slower processors (ie 100 mhz or less).
Friends of mine have done the following:
5260 120 mhz v. slow
7200 75 mhz "runs like a dog"
7200 75 mhz with 96 mb ram ok
7200 120 mhz ok
my desktop 5200 75 mhz 64 mb ram will try it but have not yet.
The info I have received from apple is that it will work fine (!!??).

If you have a partition on your hard drive - give it a go or if you have all data and applications backed up (everyone does that, don't they?), also try it.
My G3 powerbook has had no problems with it - Sherlock is fantastic!

Hope this helps
Let me know how you go
