Hi Graham,

My name is John, and I'll be trying to help you.

I do not know if there is a simple way to video chat between windows and mac, but, I can point you to a page that talks about how to play avi files:

http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/avidivx.html

Let me know how it goes, and I'll do a little research on cross-platform video chat.

Hi Graham,

I'm back again, and found this thread:

http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,13705169

They suggest that iChat on Mac and AIM on Windows should be able to hook up for a video chat.

While this very thorough article says that iChatAV and AIM 5.5 can perform a cross-plaform chat:

http://www.xvsxp.com/applications/chat/

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know how it goes.

John
