Description:
I was emailed a picture. I don't know how to view it in the Netscape browser. When I select it the window below indicates 7-bit encoded. When I select edit page in the file menu the message says MIME format and jpeg image. Also there is a lot of text (I assume this is the image in text form). Also in the tool bar the image button is greyed out and I can't select it. I don't know if thats relevent or not but at this time I have run out of ideas. There must be something simple that I am not doing. If you can help I would appreciate it. If you need more info. let me know. Thanks, Mark
I am using Netscape Communicator 4.04

sounds like you need GraphicConverter 3.1. It can be downloaded from any major web site including www.zdnet.com. find the Mac section and then web tools and etc....

after you have GC 3.1, simple save the attachements that you receive via eMail to the desktop of the Mac (you may have to tell Nav 4.x to change to saving on the desktop via the Preferences menu in Nav. 4.x, I can't remember for sure). Open GC and then use the File->open and then select the file on the desktop. this program will open just about any and all types of graphic files.
