I have virtual PC installed on my iMac, but it has never run properly as far as I can tell. Any time I try to use it the "virtual PC quit unexpectedly" notice appears. I tried to upgrade it thinking that might be the problem but the upgrade indicates that "virtual pc cannot be loaded onto this computer."
Not sure what I need to do to make it work.
What information do you need to help me?
If your profile info is correct, and you have an Intel Core 2 Duo iMac, then you can give up trying Virtual PC.
Virtual PC cannot be used on your Intel iMac. Microsoft will never support that, so you will not get it to work.
If you need Windows on your Mac, then you can use BootCamp to assist with installing a full version of Windows XP or Vista. With a Boot Camp install, you always have to reboot your Mac to change to Windows.
You could also use Parallels Desktop, which will give you a virtualized Windows, without the speed penalty that Virtual PC has. You also don't need to reboot your Mac, as Windows would run in the Parallels application, similar to Virtual PC, but _much_ better Windows speed.
There are other solutions that will give you Windows on your Mac.
Let me know if you have other questions...
