Well... I know that VPN connections to some VPN networks are not working (Cisco I think) so what are my options? I have upgraded to Tiger and now have the need to connect to a VPN which is running Cisco. I can't wait until the fix is released (sometime this month). Can anyone suggest an alternative application to do the job?
Thanks,
Charles

Charles,
My name is Cheryl and I will be assisting you. It was recommended not to upgrade to Tiger until Cisco released a fix for the VPN problem. Cisco is working on it and should release a fix shortly.
You can try:
DigiTunnel
http://www.gracion.com/vpn/
VPN Tracker 4
http://www.equinux.com/us/products/v...ker/index.html
Or use the OS X VPN connection.
Just go to Internet Connect in Applications and setup the VPN connections. You will need to know the server you're connecting to and then the username and password should be easy from that point on. The Server should be easily found in the Cisco client, just look at the info of the connections you want to make.

Cheryl,
Thank you for your assistance. I have been trying the OS X VPN connection and it is not working. I boot back into my old system which I have backed up on an external drive and my VPN connection works fine. I will give the other two clients a try and see how that goes.
Should the OS X VPN connection be working?

Charles,
Some people have had good luck with the OS X VPN. Some are just waiting for Cisco to update before going to Tiger. I think it all depends on what system you are connecting to.
I know VPN Tracker 4 has been updated for Tiger. Let me know if it works for you.

Well... after some playing around and downloading the suggested demos I finally got the OS X VPN connection to work. I was playing with DigiTunnel and was getting errors connecting. So... I started messing with the optional settings, one of which is "Encrypted". I unchecked that and bam - connection worked. This got me thinkin' so I went back to my VPN settings in OS X and guess what... there is a new option for encypted (or maybe it is just set by default where in 10.3 it was not). Anyhow... I set that to NONE and it is now working. Thanks for your help!!
