TICKET ARCHIVE -> Windows Media Player 9 For Osx

I just recently bought an I mac G5 and was trying to download windows media player 9. It shows up on my desktop, but when I double click it, it opens up in band in a box (music program I purchased and installed). I've been trying for days to figure it out.. even tried dragging the icon into my applications folder (worked for another download), but still no luck. I hope you can help me out. Thanks.

Download and install the free version of Stuffit Expander.
If it doesn't automatically set the .bin file to open with Stuffit, click the file (one time) so that it's selected. Hit CMD(the apple key) and I. This should pull up the program's info. Click the triangle next to "Open With:" if it's not already showing. Select Stuffit Expander from the drop down list, and click "Change All..." So that all files with this extension open with Stuffit from now on. That should work for ya.
