I just downloaded Windows Media Player and now have to choose an application to run it and am not sure which to select. I do not have Windows installed on my ibook (except the demo that came installed) and do not wish to get Windows and install it. I simply want to watch clips that have mime plug-ins through it. Thanks.

If the WMP is asking you to choose an application, I think you have downloaded the Windows version, which won't work (unless you have an Intel Mac with Windows installed.

Microsoft has stopped supporting Windows Media Player for the Mac.
Download Flip4Mac for a mostly-suitable substitute.
