I cannot get Windows Media Player to work on my Appple PowerBook G4, running OSX. When it tries open, an icon from the toolbar bounces (the icon is with a pencil, ruler and a paint brush). The Media Player icon (yellow circle with blue triangle in the center) does nothing. Then I get the box saying that Windows MP has unexpectedly quit. Love to have some suggestions as to what I can do to get it to work. Thanks. Bill

You should know that Win Media Player is no longer supported by Microsoft, who now offer a link to Flip4Mac software, and that link is here: http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv_download.htm
This is free software, and will allow you to play Win Media files through your Quicktime Player. You will also find that more file types are now supported, and WMP files will mostly play better than WMPlayer ever did on the Mac....
