Hi i have parallels for mac os x. But the windows xp software (WIndows Xp home edition bootable sp2) i dont have it on a disc. I have it on software on the computer as a iso which a friend send to me. is there a way i can use the software from inside my computer which it is located in the documents folder. Or do i NEED a disc.

you have to burn it to a disk and use it so yes.

ok. so i burned the software [Microsoft Windows Xp Home edition (bootable Sp2) (ENG).iso] on a Maxell CD-R. i inserted the cd. when i click the play button on parrallels it says to restart my computer i do it, but nothing happens. What should i do?

ok i did what it said about the disc but still nothing happennned. could this mean really need to buy the official cd?

no i have used parallels for a year with a (Copied Disk) and it works fine for me. you could use boot camp.

ok i got thinking did you copy the iso to a cd like its just the iso in the folder or did you extract the iso to a cd?

well...... i just got a maxell CD-R of 700MB. and i placed it inside the system. then in the finder i just opened two windows one with the windows iso. and the other with whats inside the cd. i just dragged the windows iso into it and clicked burn.

ok i burned the disc exactly as how it shows me. i placed it inside the computer clicked the play button on parrallels, it todl me to restart my computer. i did. it restarted but nothing happened!!!

ok i do each step i do to have parralells. Only problme is, it tells me to restart my comp, or hold down the power button. I do it, then turn it on again, nothing happens and it says that the system shut down randmly .. what should i do?
