Just get the most recent version of Flip4Mac and it will be backwards compatible. Don't need wmp9 or 11 etc.

Nothing to do after installing Flip4Mac. It will then be a plugin that allows you to view wmv files.

this freakin flip4mac/episode shyte is so complicated. i just cant understand how to operate it..basically i watch tv via live streaming and sometimes movies from websites directly. just give me brief instructions on how to run. an example would be very helpful. thats too much nonsense in flip4mac. i dont understand why u recommended that stuff to me.

help me get out of this mess.

Flip4Mac is the WMV/WMP plugin for Mac recommended on the Microsoft web site. It works well for me in two different browsers. There are no instructions required. After installing the software, when you go to the idesi web site, click on one of the channels, and then wait 10 seconds for some of the video to stream (be received and buffered). Then the plugin will automatically begin playing.

Is it possible you haven't actually installed Flip4Mac yet? After downloading, you first double-click on the .dmg file to open it. Then inside that is the installer, a .mpkg file. Double-click that to begin the installer.

If it doesn't work, please tell me more about what symptoms you get at the idesi site. - exactly what happens.

hey there,

i got the plug-in to work but now i have a different problem. when the streaming starts it starts to buffer and it plays normally and then after like a minute of playin normally the player icon seems to go too fast for the buffering percentage (shaded bar) if u know wat i mean. they r clashin and then streamin stops all of a sudden. when i wait for the buffering to finish and then drag the video bar it doesnt work. basically the buffering is too slow, is thr a software update for that problem?? i hope i din confuse u.

I get those exact same symptoms when I try to watch music videos, but not when I watch news programs. It means your (and my) internet connection isn't fast enough to keep up with the data. This can't be fixed on your computer. You need a faster broadband internet connection.

looks like its the problem with quicktime. because im able to view the channels via WMP on windows. kindly go to livemediaz.com and try to view live sports or tv..it sucks

i tried quicktime software updates but nothing came. i also use high speed internet. basically the streaming is not high quality on quicktime. pls take a look.

I looked at livemediaz but I don't want to sign up...
Comparing idesitv on Mac and Windows, I find that some of the channels are much better on Windows than on Mac. I don't have a fix for that. Sorry.
