My wmv files will play video but have no sound since upgrading to OS X.4.6???

1.Open Audio MIDI Setup (/Applications/Utilities/), then check the Audio Output setting.

2.Change the Audio Output setting to 44100.0 Hz.

3.Quit Audio MIDI Setup.

See if that helps.

Thanks for the help. I checked the Audio MIDI setup and the output was already set to 44100.0 Hz. Any other ideas??? Thanks again.

I got one more thing you might try. Close WMP then Open GarageBand (if you have it). Once GarageBand is running close it again and then try opening WMP again.

Honestly I see all kinds of reports of trouble with WMP but I've used it and never had any trouble but once Flip4Mac came out with the application to use WM files in Quicktime I haven't used WMP since.
