Hi

I have all of a sudden got a missing xmedia UI Plug-in when I try to open anything in InDesign. Not having this plug-in doesn't allow my palette to appear. The plug-in is in the plug-in folder under Indesign. I tryed replacing it. I tryed upgrading to Indesign 3.0.1. I really don't want to re install the CS bundle and loss all my set ups. Any ideas why on what I can do?

Please Help Me!

Hi!

A couple things. Have you repaired permissions yet? Do that before going any further, APPS/UTILITIES/DISK UTILITY/REPAIR PERMISSIONS.

Then, you can back up your InDesign preferences to your desktop (your main hard drive) and reload them, but first, which palette is missing? the xmedia UI Plug in?

Ok I'll give that a try. Thanks. All my palettes are missing and there are nothing to select under my windows or help bar at the top. I looked up what the xmedia UI does; one of the this it does it control the tag palettes.

Under configure plugins in indesign it is showing that xmedia UI is turned off. It is suppose to be turned on. I can't figure how to turn it on in OSX. Do you know how to do that?

Hmm. Hit the tab key. Do your tool bars come back?
