TICKET ARCHIVE -> Yahoo for Mac

I am a recent Mac switcher (from Windows) and downloaded Yahoo for Mac. I am running Mac OS X 10.4.4. The first issue is does Mac support avatars? Also, when I type in a message the print is way behind what I am actually typing. I have not experienced that in any other program. It seems like Yahoo runs really slow on the Mac. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there any other chat software that I could use for Mac that would support Yahoo IM, AOL IM, etc? Thanks!

Thanks so much for the info. I downloaded it and LOVE it!!!!! At lease it has a lot more options than Yahoo for Mac.
