Automater...can we make our own actions?

I want to take certain mail, when it comes in, have it saved as a PDF and placed in a folder of my choice on my hard drive. IS there a way to create an action for these steps and have it run automatically when mail for a certain account comes in? How do I create an action?

I'll upgrade because I like to keep up to date with Apple stuff. All major updates of OSX have been really useful and enjoyable for me, although I think I skipped 10.2. It seems to me like the theme of this update is "workflow". Besides Dashboard, Automator & Spotlight another thing that I would like to be able to use is the general cross-integration of applications....

Badly resized? Not only the screenshot has that width, also the movie of Automator, Spotlight, Dashboard, etc... Maybe it has something to do with the rumour on Fryke's macnews.net.tc. The rumour about all notebooks go widescreen. But i doubt that the presentation movies on apple.com are made on a powerbook or ibook...
