do you have access to another mac running OSX? if you do, or can get access, then you could link the two via FireWire, then start up your dead mac while holding T, to instigate Firewire Target disk mode. if not damaged, the mini's hard drive should appear on the desktop of the other mac as an external hard disk, at which point you could try disk utility on it, or at worst,...
