I'm using DW MX on 10.2.5 with no problems editing directly on the server. How are you accessing the server? is it a windows share, NFS, mapped drive? I've had no problems editing to win2k based servers as well as a linux box.

I haven't had more than 2 kernel panics in my OS X history and in the past 2 work days I've had 5!!! It seems that when i try to edit a file on our live server, in dreamweaver, it will work fine for a while then BAMB the screen goes gray and it asks me to restart. I am in the market for a new lap top and I am torn between the 12 inch or 14 inch. Of course size matters and would like to have a bigger screen. However, if I get a 12 inch and save some money, I can get an iPod as well. My question is: Is the 12 inch to small for Dreamweaver,Flash and other apps that need a few toolbars open with a timeline, etc.

SoftImage I think that it doesn't exist for Macs... Maya has its higher end versions Wintel exclusive and from Pros I keep hearing that all those apps run faster on Wintels with the exception of Photoshop which in some cases is faster than Wintels... But I think a Dual Mac is still more efficient for these kind of apps because you can multitask better having open many apps...
