That depends on what constitutes as a "real program" for you. i use Linux daily on my work laptop (Ubuntu Dapper) and it more than fits my needs, better than Windows that's for sure. Then I kind of gave up. I put the drive into my older Windows PC and had the idea to flash it to its original firmware. I did this, connected it again via the USB encloser to the Mac Mini, and voila! It worked!... ...

down, a much quicker boot time, perhaps using flash memory to boot from etc, i'm not sure.... but just a departure from sleep mode into something far more 'off'. ...
