Manually adding fonts to any of your active Fonts folders should not cause a problem. I do it all the time. However, I am wondering if you are adding your fonts to an inactive Fonts folder. The Fonts folders in your Previous Systems folders are inactive. You will not see your fonts if you place them there.

:mad: What about all the glorious hype about the PowerPC g5 chip w/ the 64 bit architecture and Altivek etc, etc,? What a load! I should have just stuck with a $379 Dell (includes 17" LCD) and saved $3500 (G5 2.0 and 23"LCD)!!! This reminds of when I bought my first Mac in '95 ($4000 Powermac 7500/100!) I have, and this dos work for documents, but even if I disable the font in Font Book, AOL & Explorer still display pages with this scruffy, unreadable font, it makes browsing such a misery, but luckily Safari isn't touched so thats all I have been using to browse
