Font Book

Mine will arrive tomorrow. I'm so freaking stoked! I love wiping a hard drive clean, doing a fresh install and enjoying a new OS. Panther will be my first attempt at going fully non-OS 9. Finally. (There's still one lingering stupid app that I have to use in OS 9, Netscape for print ads via AdSend, which uses Java components that only work in OS 9. Argh! I'll be putting that...

when jaguar came out, i started a thread that asked users here to post whatever new features they've seen or know about in the OS. in keeping with tradition, i think it's be great to have a unified list for all to see. since a lot of you guys have the panther betas, i'm sure this list will grow faster than the jaguar list. so here goes: 1.) just saying "new finder"...

My fonts sometimes show up weird in Safari. MacCentral articles and the .Mac page are two that never show up right. They show up as weird fractions in my address book. I've tried a full OS reinstall and it didn't help. Updating the OS didn't help either. I cleared out my fonts folder and reinstalled Safari and it was fixed for a while then went back to the same old crap again....

Hopefully they fix or make some changes to Font Book. Unfortunately, due to some not so good things, I've been unable to do much with that or Panther. ...

it actually moves your fonts around, i had all my fonts on a separate drive, added them to font book, and the fonts were gone from the drive and put in my users directory... ...

Darth, what exactly do you need the font management for? ...
