Did a clean install of OSX 10.3 Thursday on the Quicksilver G4 (1.5 gigs RAM) at my office; install went well and upon finish set up user accounts, networking, etc. flawlessly. Came into work yesterday (Friday) and booted the mac, only to have it give me the flashing Happy Mac/question mark icon. Tried several reboots with same results. Then rebooted from Panther install CD...

Recently we had some very very odd power problems which caused my mac to reset its self 4 or 5 times very quickly - since then the machine freezes when trying to load the radeon drivers for the radeon 7500 that came with the machine. If the card is removed then the machine boots up fine, if the drivers are removed and the card left in, again the machine boots up fine (seeing...

Hi! Could someone tell me if it is true that the Power Mac G4 "QuickSilver" line has no Audio line/microphone input? What is the reasoning behind this if it is true? Further, are there any ways around this (CD connector on sound card, et cetera?). Finally, as all I do with the Macintosh (and going to with this machine I am getting) is audio work, I need a good sound...

My mac is sluggish to eject a CD (in OS X) when I hit the eject key on the keyboard, and now, just after inserting a blank CD, it won't eject at all! The eject key simply doesn't work. What is going on here, and is there any way of getting this CD out (it's not mounted, obviously), without restarting the OS? Anyone else know what I'm talking about? Craig
