There used to be a very cool and not-too-complex image editing program for the NeXT. Kind of like Tiffany but without the layers and graphics professional add-ons but not as simple as AppleWorks and much more user-friendly than GraphicConverter. I used to use it to do graphics for my home page back in the early days of the WWW but for the life of me I can't remember the name....

Try PixelNhance. It's freeware, very easy to use, and should handle just about anything you want to do. Ed, are you perchance referring to GraphicConverter? That's what your description sounds like. I created the image in ChemDraw Ultra, copied it to the clip board, pasted it into GraphicConverter, saved it as a JPEG, opened it in MacGIMP, reduced the size to 50 x 50 pixels, saved it as a GIF, and uploaded it. The image is related to my project and thesis.

Read in the thread: « more people buy photoshop, prices drop, more people copy photoshop, prices rise... plain and simple » Not plain and simple at all. Adobe just doesn't care about dummies hacking Photoshop to scribble their *****ty JPEG files for their homepage. Moreover, it's a way to have their program as a standard, on every computer. Adobe cares about...

Net Monitor: for a display of network traffic. I put mine in the menubar like this: http://brad.project-think.com/images/netmonitor.png Dock Detox: to kill the Dock icon bouncing from those apps what are written to bug the hell outta ya. escapepod: to *really* force quit an app -- especially useful if your system appears to be hung but the GUI is just frozen. Snapz...
