You dont need to black-name the programs. it important to give many options for the user. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion but black-naming program will made you look like a bad person

Seashore looks like crap. Go with GraphicConverter.

Why not get Gimp itself? It is a nice graphics program. It has a lot more drawing tools than Seashore does. Granted, it does need X11, but that is not hard to install and the ability to use additional tools that require it is worth it.

GraphicConverter is shareware but is ideal for the job. There's also SmallImage 2 (free), Photo Drop (free, creates droplets to automate batch tasks), iZoom, ImageWell, and finally, a must-have for really powerful and complicated image-editing tasks is The GIMP.
