Apple - two words to consider: "Home Automation"

And then iLife would all be integrated into your smart home system, so you could control events with iCal. You could program your bedroom digital hub to turn on at 7am and start iTunes or FM radio for five minutes, at which point if the mini iSight mounted in the corner hadn't detected your motion yet it would blast the audio until you got up and turned it off. You could...

Sync contacts w/o .mac?

Hi there! Is there any easy way to sync addressbook data between to macs without having a .mac account. I'm looking for a way that is as easy as "ical exchange" is for my calender data. Maybe a patch for isync to use other webdav-volumes than .mac. Any Solutions? Thank you Alex

Is .MAC really worth the $100???

I feel it is worth it as well, if you use the features. For example, I use ical, and isync between my laptop and desktop. Of course, I use the email, and iDisk for resume, and important documents, as well as Backup. The free apps that are included. If you don't plan to use the features, then it is not cost worthy. I know people that pay for it, never use it, and then complain.

Palm Desktop Address and Calendar

99% of the time I prefer Address Book and iCal. But it appears as if the address book in the palm desktop could print out envelopes. So, I went there and discovered that none of my addresses are in the Palm desktop. Is there a simple way to get the Address book entries dumped into the Palm Desktop? Thanks,
