Have a simular Question, bought a iMAC (with iLife 08) and and OS X server licence. After installing OS X server I lost iLife. Guess I still own the iLife licence and want to install it again (actually on the same machine as it was earlier). Is this legal? How is it done? Br. Are (Norway)

e list of cameras that were tested with iMovie '08. That doesn't mean your model wouldn't work with IM '08 though. You should test the camera with a Mac that has iLife 08 installed just in case it might not work before spending a few bucks for an iLife 08 disk. ...

Just looked. You're right!! :) Certainly an option on v7.1.2 from the iPhoto that came with iLife'08. Never noticed it on any earlier version, but I must admit I can't remember looking.

I have iLife 08 (with iMovie 08) and I also have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W80 7.2 mp camera. When I film clips on my camera, i can import them into iPhoto and watch them without any problems. However, when I open up iMovie, I cannot import or access the movie files anywhere on my computer. When I have my camera linked up and I click 'Import from Camera' in iMovie, it tells me...

iLife is free with new Macs. The installation of iWork that is bundled with new Macs is in demo mode. The user must pay the license fee to use Pages, Keynote, and Numbers beyond the 30-day trial period. Text Edit can read and write Word files. It is free.

The nice thing about the discs that come with those Macs is that they include a bunch of other software that was included with them, such as the entire iLife suite and some other applications. The retail version of OS X only comes with the OS if I'm not mistaken, regardless of the version. ...
