You can also use Acrobat Pro, or Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator will only allow you to work on a single page, so if you have a multipage document you need to save the result with a new file name. Then you can use Preview to remove the original page from your original document, and insert the new version.

I've had the same problem with links not updating, except that all the files (actually, a single linked Illustrator CS3 file, in this case) are on my local MacBookPro drive. My solution is to save, close, and reopen the ID CS3 document after making changes to the linked file(s), at which point ID will offer to update the "modified" links. All is well then. It's...

I'm using CS3 on Mac OS 10.4.11. After reading other posts on this subject I've tried it all, including most recently deinstalling Font Explorer and running Yasu but still cannot open Illustrator or InDesign (crashes on launch). Going on second week without programs and my brain hurts. Any definitive solutions out there? Thanks.

Last night I was minding my own business on the internet, and checking on some news articles. I always leave the iMac on at nights, for quick access in the morning before I go to work.
