At our small office, we are trying to use iCal via iSync to share calendars. However, we DON'T want to share our personal calendars. Is there any way to tell iSync to ignore the Personal calendars. I could not find any option in iCal. ...

so I'm not losing my mind? This option doesn't exist in Mail? Thanks for confirming... Shame, though... I'd like to use Mail for all the same reasons you state - iSync, iPod, t610, iCal, .Mac - all seamless... (Playing with Entourage's export feature to Address Book is a nightmare before you even start with the others!) c'mon Apple - give us another update!!! It's...

I would say that pound for pound, Entourage is the better program, no doubt. However, I have pretty modest email needs, so Mail is just fine. I like be as Microsoft-free as possible. Also, a big plus not so much for Mail over Entourage, but for iCal, Address Book and Mail as a group over Entourage is being able to use iSync and/or .Mac or other free services for...

It should work, yep ... I figured out 2 ways actually: isync to his idisk and then get that from the powerbook and then to the phone (does not sound fast). Or, make a new user for him, and copy his address book file to the library as his user on powerbook. What definitely would happen is being logged on the same time, with the fast user switching as in the Panther...

Just a couple of observations. Not trying to be negative, but just noticing some things. 1. Those fast loading apps are mostly Apple's. This is not a criticism of the test, just an observation. It shows that proper programming can yield wicked results. However, Adobe Elements and Safari show no evidence of actually launching. They may very well be hidden in the background...

It depends though on whether or not you can upgrade from a beta to the GM, which from reports, you won't be able to do. It says this in the installer too, so if you have the updated iApps then it won't matter because you will be doing a clean install. I suppose if you didn't wipe your HD, and didn't install the apps from the GM cds then you might not have to download the...

Well that's not really important for you, because if you buy Panther a month later, you will have run Software Update to update the then-updated apps. Well there were several updates of iSync, that weren't in Software Update. Included in the install disc. Now that they use Software Update to give it to you, I think that's because you're not going to get a disc with...

Well, yes they do update the iApps as well as the system so they would seed the updated versions with the new builds of Panther. I don't think Apple tells Software update not to get a new version of an app just because it's a beta. I bet if you ran SU on an even earlier build than 7B85 that it'd still find and install the new iSync. I would hope not. They didn't...

Today, Software Update ran because of an iSync update. There haven't been any other updates in 10.3 except the test one, this is one reason. ...
